It’s my mission to build on teachers’ strengths while pushing them to the next level AND empower parents to continue to support these strategies at home.

My passion for literacy instruction began as a classroom teacher. It strengthened while working closely with Irene Fountas and Gay Su Pinnell under the Literacy Collaborative model at Three Village Central School District on Long Island, NY. There, I propelled my students forward in Reading and Writing Workshop, and coached colleagues on how to do the same.
During these years, my students’ work was published in Fountas & Pinnell’s book Teaching for Comprehending and Fluency as well as featured in the video series The Continuum of Literacy Learning Teaching Library: Professional Development Teaching Collection, Grades 3-8.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me with a cup of coffee and my nose buried in nonfiction or recharging at the beach with family and friends.
